Why Geothermal Energy Should Be YOUR Energy Source. by Fangru Jiang

Geothermal energy is a great natural energy source that is good for the environment. In this environmental crisis, we are looking for different types of efficient energy sources that costs little and emits less pollution. Geothermal energy uses heat produced from the Earth to power machines both small and large. It is about 70 percent more reliable than both oil and gas. Since the heat from inside the Earth will never run out, geothermal energy is classified as a renewable energy source. Therefore, the resources from geothermal energy could actually last longer than the Sun, because of the endless thermal energy the Earth possesses. There have been many geothermal energy facilities made in the last 100 years, and all of them are still in use and running.

With all the pollution in the air now, there must be ways to reduce the pollution that goes into the air. Also, geothermal energy is also a clean energy source and gives off no pollution. There is no fuel needed to use the energy and no waste needs to be disposed. Finally, geothermal energy has power plants that take up very little space, which save money and the earth. Other energy sources use big solar panels and other large structures that take up a lot of land, which is expensive to be purchased. This energy only needs the heat from the Earth to produce electricity and heating. Geothermal energy takes up the same space as a gas plant, without using the pipeline that covers so many miles of the Earth. Geothermal energy is a great renewable energy source that can save money, save space and save the Earth!
